Madam,
I am commanded by the Air Council to inform you that they have approved your appointment to the Women's Auxiliary Air Force in the rank of Assistant Section Officer with effect from 27 JUL 1940
Notification accordingly will appear in the London Gazette.
You are required to provide yourself with uniform and equipment as specified in the enclosed memorandum. In respect of this you will receive an outfit grant of £30 which will be paid by the R.A.F. Agents.
The enclosed forms should be completed and returned to this Department.
