Dear David
This is just to let you know that I have written two cheques on joint a/c. One for £2.13.0. for new sheets & pillow slips & another £7.12.8 to my Mother this [word deleted] is the customary £3.0.0. for fuel plus laundry, cow & gate & new bath for Frances & some material from Army & Navy Stores
[page break]
[deleted] that [/deleted] to be made into dresses for Frances later on.
For cash I have drawn £3.0.0. from P.O. Savings. I have £20. in there now. I do not spend much in cash on Frances (unless I buy the Cow & Gate instead of Mothers) In cash for myself (i.e. to have my hair done [inserted] etc. [/inserted]) I use P.O. Savings to get cash but replace with cheque from my own a/c.
I have explained all this so you have some idea of the amount of
[page break]
money I am spending.
The bill from the garage (for the christening) came in £1.5.0. this includes fetching nurse from Ashstead. I [deleted] did [/deleted] [inserted] do [/inserted] not think they have overcharged I will pay the bill in cash.

Joyce
