The suspension railway runs from bottom left to top right. At the far end on the left side is a wooded hillside with open country beyond. A railway line runs from bottom left to middle right with some rolling stock in sidings towards the right side. Bottom three quarters shows city landscape with multistory buildings. In the foreground many buildings are without roofs and show other signs of damage. There are a number of factories with intact chimneys. On the right side just above the middle a small section of road appears to have four vehicles visible. Captioned 'Germany Wuppertal Suspension Railway'.
