Description
The river Rhine runs from left diagonally to the right, On the far bank a narrow parallel canal beyond which is a city landscape of multistory buildings. There are four factory chimneys towards the left side. In the foreground a temporary narrow road bridge with a few vehicles going in both directions. In front of this is a destroyed bridge with just the remains of two piers and supports with small sections of roadway. Small parts of the destroyed bridge are just visible on top of the water, Captioned 'Germany Cologne ex-Hoenzollern [sic] Bridge'.
