[underlined] Aus/417512 Flight Sergeant PAYNE, M.H. [/underlined]
Referring to this Headquarters’ letter of 20th March, 1945, it is now advised that in view of the lapse of time and the absence of any news, the death of Flight Sergeant Payne has been presumed, for the official purposes, to have occurred on 30th June 1944.
2. It is now desired to express the deep regret of this Headquarters in the loss of this member.
