Just a little note to go with your Idetenty [sic] Card my dear & thanks for your letter.
I’m a bit fogged as I was at the Air Ministry at six this evening & drove all the way home at speed arriving at ten fifty.
I’v [sic] just had supper & will be off to bed soon.
I do hope that you do not get the G. Measles it must be awful this hot weather
London was terribly hot today & I was busy all day

I had a most interesting time during the few days I was away, visiting several aircraft works & meeting lots of my friends.
I flew in the turbine driven “Lincoln” & enjoyed it.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the eggs, we will bring some more when Mummy & I come over to see you again
