My dear Rosemary
Just a few lines my dear to let you know that mummy is sending you some syrup & I hope that you will enjoy it.
We were very pleased to receive your interesting letter written on Sunday and to know that you had enjoyed such an interesting week.
We too are looking forward to half-term & having you home with us for a while
Nothing of importance has happened here except that Mummy’s silver tray arrived today.
It is George III. 1809.
[page break]
and made by John Crouch, I think that you will like it as it is a really handsome tray.
It was very kind of Mrs Bowers & Maggie to take you to the Industrial Exhibition & to Dinner, I’m sure that it must have been a real treat.
I hope that lessons & prep. are going well & not troubling you, just take them easily & you will be OK.
We all send our best love to you my dear daughter
Yours
Daddy.
