My darling Mummy.
Thank you for your letter. I am glad to hear you are doing so well, and I am going to try to do as well. Yesterday their [sic] was[sic] 2 comics and the St. Joseph’s match shown on Mr. Shelvetons pictures, and they were all very nice. We are having very bad weather. St Joseph’s won all their matches and have got the cup, but their [sic] is still next year and other years to come. Daddy is sending us a pad each so that we can write on week days. The days are passing very quickley [sic].
Three Dio are in quarantene [sic] with whoopin [sic] cough. I will write again soon. With lots of love and kisses from your loving son [underlined] David. [/underlined]
