My dear Mummy and Daddy

I hope you are quite well and happy. I am quite well and happy and so is Stevie. Thank you [indecipherable word] very much for your letter. I am very sorry to hear that Daddy has got Disentry [sic] I hope he is alright soon and you are to. I am a bit backward in my music but I am getting on now Stevie is getting on to. We had a mat [inserted] c [/inserted] h and won a match against the soldiers & Dookias made [deleted] a [/deleted] 54 and then the bell went for dinner and the mat [inserted] c [/inserted] h stop [inserted] p [/inserted] ed. Then our last match Dookias made 0 I dont [sic] know what happened to him but never mind he will do well in

I diden’t [sic] do well in my last test I got about 30 but never mind I will get better marks next test. I am very glad to hear polly is is [sic] getting on so well. We had a lantern slide show it was quite nice. And pictures were brought up here they were all mixed about pig iron and something like the thief of Bagdad only acted in the fo [inserted] r [/inserted] m of apes. I have no more time. With lots of love and kisses from David.
