July. 6th. 1928
My dear Mummy and Daddy.
I hope you are quite well and happy. I am quite well and happy and so is Stevie. We had a match. Their score was 1 and our score was 2. We get our comics every wednesday. [sic] I got 59 for a Geogaprhy [sic] test and 72 for a French test. Please send up these books “Robinson Crusoe” Ivanho” [sic] and the two history books? I will try and write a long letter. I will write you and Daddy a letter on Sunday. We are going to have a test and we are having William the first William the second Henry the first and Stephen they are all Kings. It rains a lot. We play [deleted] f [/deleted] foot-ball. We have got our books still [deleted] pal [/deleted] playbox annu [inserted] a [/inserted] l and Cassels childrens’ [sic] annual. Please send me some envelopes because I can only get 1 or two more then I wont [sic]
