My darling Dad.
Was awfully pleased to get your letters & all the news. Very glad to hear you are accepting the Secretariship [sic] of the tennis club, & that things are going well. I hope the damn Japs are stopped before they advance much further.
Haven’t been doing too badly lately. Haven’t been to war much [deleted] for [/deleted] lately last night was the first time after quite a while. It was a very exciting trip & we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Came back a few days ago after being on a testing job for ten days. Had a very hectic time & a jolly
[page break]
narrow shave. But got away with it thats [sic] all that really matters.
Had a night out in London on the way back. Had quite a party. Also during the ten days went up to London once & saw Mum.
It was a great relief Steve getting through the first part of his finals. He should D.V. be a fully fledged Dr. in no time now. Dr. Boldy will sound jolly nice.
Am due a weeks leave in just over three weeks time. Looking forward to it. Intend to have a really rollicking time.
Will be writing again soon Dad.
Look after yourself & don’t worry.
God bless you. Lots of love.
