Thanks her for letter and copy of illustrated. Comments on Free French compatriots in answer to her question. Continues with news and gossip. Mentions items he had left behind, describes local village, says he had seen no films and that it was a six penny bus ride into Weston. Mentions going into Weston and going on the pier. Writes that a number of colleagues had packed up the course and left. Makes point that enlistment was voluntary and airmen could go all they way through to flying and then refuse to fly.
