FORM E.V.I

[underlined] COUNTY BOROUGH OF WEST BROMWICH GOVERNMENT EVACUATION SCHEME. [/underlined]
TO PARENTS OF SCHOOL CHILDREN RESIDING WITHIN THE EVACUABLE AREA OF WEST BROMWICH.

Dear Sir (Madam),
You will doubtless be aware that the Government has decided that, in the event of a national emergency, School children and certain other priority classes living in what are considered to be dangerous areas, may be evacuated to less densely populated areas.
Certain portions of West Bromwich have recently been scheduled for evacuation in the event of a national emergency and either you are resident in one of these areas or your child attends a school situated in an evacuable area.
It is now desired to ascertain whether you desire that your child should accompany the School Party in the event of evacuation. You are requested to complete the attached form and return it to the Head Teacher of the School from which it was issued.
Question 5 is asked so that you may have the opportunity of arranging for all your children to join the same school party. You should note, however, that pupils attending Higher Education Schools will be evacuated as a separate party, and it will not be possible for such pupils to travel with any other School Party
It is unlikely that children will be together in the Reception Area unless they are in the same School Party.

[underlined] NOTES [/underlined]
1. Evacuation is voluntary, and only children whose parents have registered their children for evacuation will be taken to the Reception Area.
2. Details of clothing, etc., to be taken into the Reception Area will be sent to you later.

Yours very truly,
L. G. ROSE.,
Director of Education and Evacuation Officer.
