but they were scrubbed before take-off, apart from perhaps the odd one I think we are finished its difficult to say definately [sic] depends what happens. How this will depend on future excursions to all points East I can't say, its just a question of wait and see.
I’ve had a letter from Uncle George with your little poem attached with strict instructions to send it back in the next letter, really I did’nt know I had such

a talented ‘better half’, don’t tell me you can sing as well.
As you mentioned Easter makes no difference to us, in fact I’ve had a lot to do as our Bombing Leader is on leave and I’m the deputy, just sit in the office, have all the work to do if theres something in the wind.
I’ve just heard that our leave is provisionally fixed for the 18th April so I’m afraid your dance at Eastwoods is on the wrong week again, however it may

be altered.
I’m glad to agreed to pay for the beer out of the housekeeping money, and put it in writing, I’m cutting this piece out and keeping it for reference!
Well darling, not much more to write about at the moment, am looking forward to seeing you soon, has the blister healed properly?
Cheerio for the time being, please remember me to Mother & Dad,
Take care of yourself, my dear,
Yours
Jack
