Kay Darling,
Am sitting in the [indecipherable word] Office & found I have left my pen in the Billet, so please excuse pencil.
Many thanks for your letter written Monday also the parcel containing two shirts, yes Darling & again yes as above.
Have been [indecipherable word] Skipper about our leave & according to the Roster we should have it on the 7 of next month.
Heard from Bert this AM, apparently the Factory was closed for August week.
Will you please remind John Clarke that I am still waiting for that watch. He said it would only be a week & that was 3 weeks ago.
[page break]
2.
Well Darling how are you keeping regarding yourself? Are the long hours proving rather too much?
Back in the Billet – Bye the way I had to buy a Wireless liscence [sic] today, apparently everybody on the Camp who uses a set has to have one.
Ian & Mac both wish to be remembered to you, must bring them over sometime. I think they both really enjoyed themselves.
Afraid Darling I havn't much more in the news line, Except that if you come across some black ankle socks I should like a few pairs, I can send you the Coupons back.
Good night my Sweetheart
All my love
XXX Yours always Jim
