Dear Ken,

It was with great pleasure and pride that we learned from the Yorkshire Evening Post last night of the award to you of the Distinguished Flying Cross. I desire to express my hearty congratulations and would like to include those of Mrs. Thomas too.

Curiously enough, last night at our Youth Fellowship we had a talk on aviation, past and present, from an ex-pilot of the last war. After the talk, I told our members of your award and it was their express wish that I should pass on to you their hearty congratulations, so from the sixty-two present (including my father) I have pleasure in passing on their good wishes.

I have no doubt but that the Sunday School will be writing to you also, but Mr. Brining, the present Superintendent, asked me to include him in this message.

We are all of us tremendously proud of you.

Very Sincerely yours,

Rchd Thomas
