Dear Mum & Dad.

This is just a hurried note to let you know that I got my Distinguished Flying Cross yesterday. So I have been having a party to celibrate [sic] it.

I hope to be home on leave very soon, as there is nothing to do here & I have other five months of this life to spend here before we get back to the squadron. Hope this finds you all well Lots of Love Charles
