My Dearest Bessie,
Just a few lines to express my sorrow for not being able to be present at the wedding You know how much I would give to be there, but the Air Works dont [sic] think about that So if its allright [sic] with you I be there in Spirit if not in Body
Well Dear, I want to wish all the happiness that anyone can wish you & I mean it It does’nt [sic] sound much in a
[page break]
letter, but Im [sic] afraid its [sic] the best I can do.
I hope both you & Jimmy will be very happy, and I hope this war will soon be over so that you can both live together as a Man & Wife should.
Well, thats [sic] all for now Dear wishing you both the best of Luck
All my Love
