Dear Jean
Thanks very much for your letter & postcard I am sorry I did not write before but for the past 2 weeks I have had no time at all as I have been rushing to get through my work here to get on leave again, but I had hoped to be home on wednesday [sic] night but as things are it will probably be saturday [sic] and that will cut my leave down by about 3 days but I still

hope to get about 10 days so it will not be too bad at that.
I hope you had a good time at Euston and feel more like work!!!
Things are very quiet here when I am not flying but it is not so bad. By the way one of my pals was killed this week in a crash and it has been darned quiet without him. but still these things do happen and there is nothing we can do about it

Well Jean I have not much news and it is 06.15 (A.M.) so I think I will role into bed untill [sic] 1200 hrs.
Then I will have to get back to work again ready for another night trip tonight so I will ring off.
