Sir,
I am directed to refer to your letter of the 17th instant, concerning your son Flying Officer Maurice Arnold Monks, Royal Air Force, and to inform you that information obtained from available German records states that the aircraft in which your son and his comrades were flying, was shot down at Dongeren (Gelderland), and that the Cemetery at Epe in which they were buried is situated approximately 12 miles south west of Zwolle, Holland.
