Dear Sis,
Sorry couldn't make it this week-end dear but you know what these things are.
Haven't been out myself much this last few weeks so I'm afraid I haven't much news to tell you, I have had a bit of a rough time with that bad tooth of mine but I'm pleased to say its on the mend now.
I'm going to a posh dance tomorrow night cabaret etc. and “bags of bull” and probably a competition which of course I shall win.
Conceit of the man

Have you heard any more from young Stanley lately, duck, I do hope he's alright.
I have heard rumours that we are all going soon, so keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck.
Poor old Robbie, seems to be going through hell, on his course, he says they are now sending him to live under canvass [sic] for a few weeks and also to dig trenches etc., so looks like they turn you out real tough guys.
Well cherub this is all for now, write soon.
Love Billy xxx
