It is with much pleasure that I testify to the character and ability of Mr A. W. Read.

For the past four or five years I have been in close and constant contact with him and have invariably found him to be industrious, capable and thorough, whilst his honesty and integrity are beyond doubt.

I am confident that Mr Read will fulfil the duties devolving upon him in his new sphere not only conscientiously and with a strict sense of duty, but also in a manner which will bring credit to the Service and to himself.
