“BOLT GATE,”
EASTOFT,
SCUNTHORPE.
LINCS.
15th Sept.
Dear Joan,
Harold and I were delighted to hear the grand news about Bob – you must be very thrilled and excited. I could have wept with joy when I heard – I guess everyone who knows him feels the same – he’s such a grand lad. It will be wonderful for you – the day he comes home. I’ll bet you are just living for it.
I have just had a few days in bed with influenza – this is my first day down, so I am feeling a little weak,
[page break]
but quite well again.
I do hope it won’t be long before I see you, we shall have so much to talk about – don’t forget to come and see me whenever you feel like it.
Harold sends all the best.
Yours
