My dear Mac,
Have you settled down in civy [sic] life again and how are things going. I am in the letter writing mood and thought I would drop a line to you, Charlie and George.
I am working in a foundry at Dover and hope after I have learnt the business to take a more active part of the administration of the factory, the work is awfully dirty but quite interesting. I must say

I like being home all the time and I expect your wife and children are pleased to have you.
