My Dear Mrs Simpson & family
Received your second letter, & was so pleased to receive same. How grand it must be to have faith like you have, & your letters are certainly a help to us. We are still looking for a Photo, & hope one day to repay you for all your trouble, we would just like to have some idea of what Ross looked like. Noone knows what Ross meant to us & I still think its all a dream. I [indecipherable word] I was prepared for this shock. I sit day & night waiting for the telegraph boy, but cannot give up hopes when people like [inserted] you [/inserted] has such faith. It gives us lots of courage to read your letters. Jack does a lot of Photographic work, & would like to get hold of that negative of their crew, & he could do a lot with it, (would this be possible). We will send a Photo of Ross one of these but will have to send same by ordinary mail. I hope by the time you receive this we [underlined] all [/underlined] have good news. Along with us Keep Smiling & praying & all will be well.
Ever Yours N. Powdrill
