My Dearest Mother, This is the continuation of the other letter of same date, and so I hope you get both on same day. This month we also had a film sent through by the Red Cross. The apparatus was in poor order for the first 2 – 3 shows sometimes too fast or too slow & as it was supposed to be a musical show “Orchestra Wives” the music was distorted and was most amusing, in particular the crooners who were slobbering and sobbing like hyenas. Had four letters from you at the beginning of the month – two February, March 26, & April 3rd. It was very good to hear that Harry has grown such an excellent tobacco crop & I hope nothing happens to spoil it. Was very glad indeed to hear that Betty is having a baby again and I hope that it is safely born by this time. It must be like a childrens [sic] play ground when all the family is at home now – you & Dad must be very proud of the family. No mail from England for about 2 months. Anthony is keeping well & we are all in pretty good spirits. Much love & best wishes to you all from your loving son Donald
