UNITED STATES NAVAL AIR TRAINING CENTER PENSACOLA, FLORIDA logo
Dear Terry:
It is not that I have any particular news to write about, but I must congratulate you on doing so well. P/O Ford, eh! Nice going old man!
Yours truly has about another eight weeks to go before he gets the “pair of silver wings;” that is if he is lucky. I fear you will have finished at P.E.I. by that time. The Gods appear to decree that we shall not meet yet awhile.
[page break]
[underlined] 2. [/underlined]
Quite a few chaps are being sent home as instructors so there is no guarantee that I shall go on a G.R. course. We shall have to do something however, because U.S. navy navigation is different to our own.
Next week I hope to pass out on instruments. [indecipherable word] for instrument work I find quite enjoyable. There is a little radio beam work to be done, some bombing and gunnery, and then for Cats.
Let me have the gen on the G.R. course when you write will you?
As ever, [underlined] John. [/underlined] [inserted] (Fisher) [/inserted]
