Dear Mother & Dad,
Since I wrote to you last week I am very pleased to say I have received four letters from you dated 6th, 11th, 19th & 22nd January, also one each from E.W.7. Mary & Miss Law & I thank you all very much, am sorry I cannot reply individually. I am not getting my pay, so please write to Air Ministry & tell them, you should get my allotment, I tried here, to get it increased for you to nearly three times as much. I am still keeping well. The weather has been a lot colder & it has rained for nearly two days. Am glad everything is all right at home & hope it continues. I wish I was back, N. Africa can keep as far
[page break]
as I am concerned, at least under the existing circumstances. Please thank Aunt D & Grandad for the money sent to you, for me, on your birthday. I hope you had a good time, I thought about you all day long. I have received the most letters here so far – keep it up, one and all. They count more than anything else these days. Well good bye until next Friday’s letter. I send all my love & best wishes. Still got the memories,
Douglas.
