Lido, Tuesday 25th
I enclose herewith a new pair of socks which arrived today in a parcel from India. Let me know if they're not long enough & I'll knit on an annexe. Mother also sent a very nice navy cardigan for me, & tea, sugar & butter which I have put into store. I hope you will like “White Cliffs”. It won't take you long to read & is quite jolly & not too deep. You could return it with the next batch of washing. Hope this arrives safely & with all cigarettes intact. They're not all Woodbine in spite of the packets. With lots & lots of love to my dearest, Ursula.
