Felmersham,
21st Aug.
Darling,
Thank you so much for 2 letters, one from Gable End, received this morning. I’m so glad you enjoyed the weekend, & think it’s a very good thing you went. I really mustn’t be greedy about you!
I’m afraid I wrote a very dreary letter yesterday, I’m very ashamed of it. I’m feeling much more cheerful today, but in a roaring hurry as I have to be at the [indecipherable word] at 2 pm & its now 1/4 to.
[page break]
Its more or less fixed for F. to go to Devon on Friday 31st, return following Saturday. It won’t be long but I’m sure she’ll enjoy it & it’ll do her good. I’m proposing to pay Ba’s fare, for her trouble.
Did you hear the Radar programme on the wireless last night? I thought it was excellent. F & I went to Gerrards Cross, took your hat & jacket & did various shoppings. The new shirt, size 15 1/2 & 16, has arrived today from W’hampton.
I love you so much dearest, & I do hope you’ll get 36 hours this weekend.
Yours always
Ursula.
