My dear Sir,
Further to your letter dated the 14th September, 1948, and my reply to you dated the 21st September, I have now received further information from the Air Officer-in-Charge Records regarding your application for further service. It is stated that your case was submitted to the Air Ministry for a decision and that a reply has now been received to the effect that the question of your fitness for further service has again been given careful consideration by the Medical authorities who state that your re-enlistment is not recommended and that no useful purpose would be served by a further Medical Board. The reply continues that in the circumstances it is very much regretted that approval cannot be given for your re-enlistment in the Royal Air Force.
Whilst fully appreciating your desire in this respect, I regret I am unable to assist you further.
With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
