AIR MINISTRY,
WHITEHALL, S.W.1.
11th April 1944.
Dear Cheshire,
The Secretary of State has asked me to write and say how very sorry he was that weather conditions prevented him getting up to Woodhall Spa on Saturday last. We were all ready to start but were advised that conditions were not too good for flying.
It was bad luck and Sir Archibald hopes very much to be able to come up and see the Squadron at the earliest opportunity.
Will you please convey his sincere regrets to the members of 617 Squadron.
Yours sincerely,
Louis Greig
Personal Air Secretary.
