Your letter of the 11th April has, through some misfortune of the post, only just reached me. I most sincerely hope you have not been wondering at my discourtesy in not replying.
I am passing on your message to the Squadron this afternoon, and would take this opportunity of thanking you for so kindly writing to us. We are all most disappointed that we missed the occasion of your visit, and greatly look to the time that we may be more fortunate.
