Dear Cheshire,
I have been into the matter of your “visual troubles”, and Air Ministry are proceeding to obtain permission for the lenses we discussed. When you can manage to come to C.M.E. I will make arrangements for the special fitting to be started. In the first instance, be prepared to remain in town for 72 hours. You may need a further 48 hours afterwards. When everything is ready, you will require approximately one month to be-come really accustomed to the “equipment”.

Sincerely yours,

P C Livingston
Wing Commander Cheshire, D.S.O.,
R.A.F Station,
[underlined] Meltringham. [/underlined]
