Darling Little Janet
I hope you are feeling fit and well, and not letting these buzz-bombs worry you too much.
I’m afraid I hav’nt [sic] been able to get you any film stars yet, although I called in quite a number of shops. Still I expect I shall be able to get some before I come home.
I am sending you a little parcel with a few sweets and bars of chocolate, so you must keep your eyes open for it.
[page break]
How are you getting on with your music and at school? I suppose you are losing a lot of lessons now, because you have to go into the shelter.
Well Little Girl I must say goodbye now, and I hope to see you before long.
Bye-Bye, and lots of love and kisses
from Daddy

P.S. I am sending some foreign stamps. They were the ones Auntie Beryl gave you and were in my pocket. D xxx
