I was very pleased to get your letter, and to hear you were getting on alright. Also to hear you enjoyed yourself at June’s last week.
I hope you are not being bothered too much with the flying [deleted] bombed] [/deleted] bombs, and that you don’t lose too much sleep.
I hav’nt [sic] been able to get you any film stars yet, as I have not had any time off,

and so hav’nt [sic] been able to go into Lincoln, but I wont forget, and will get you some as soon as I get a chance. I will also keep my eyes open for a bicycle for you
Well Little Girl, or should I say Big Girl now, I hav’nt [sic] much to tell you
So cheerio, with lots of love and kisses
