My dear David,
I wish, quite simply, to say thank you to you for your great kindness the other evening. I don't know when I was at a dance before and that was one of the best evenings I have had for a very long time. It is obvious to me that your Squadron has a very real spirit of friendship and the Chaplain-in-Chief and I were very much impressed with everything we saw and heard. We are grateful to you for giving us such an opportunity of meeting the chaps.
I hope that you and Joyce and the baby will have a very happy Christmas.
Yours ever,
A McHardy
