Title

Statement of Marino Cappellini about some Allied servicemen

Description

Marino Cappellini claims he helped nine allied prisoners of war, from 12 September 1943 to 5 February 1944. He helped George Saltere (5502089), George Stirna (5502033), Andrew Barnes (5502396), Arthur Bridge (5503434), Arthur (14208542), Arthur Glove (3974761), and three others: Hall, Bennet, and Staines. On 5 February 1944, fascist militiamen searched his house - when they found prisoners’ clothes, they arrested Marino’s daughter and took away all food supply. Two days later, he was also arrested. For his efforts, he received 4500 lire.
