Dear Skipper
It was certainly good to hear from you, & your letter was very much appreciated by all the old crew. Its very good to hear from you when you must have more worries on your mind.
Yes we have nearly completed our trips now, another six, the weather has been holding us up, also the Skipper has his W/C and he is not doing them so often.
We had a very bad week last week, we lost three of

our crews. W/C White was a very big loss to us, he had only three more to do. The other crew I don't think you know as they were fairly new here.
We have been trying to get up to Faldingworth but up to now have been unlucky, we [underlined] will [/underlined] make it one of these days.
Mackie has to go for an interview tomorrow at 92 Group H.Q. so it looks as if he is bound for an office job which he says he he won't care for one bit.
Well all the Boys join me
