The election is a bore, a nuisance & all very tiring, I feel like a worn out cab horse with no convictions, & I become like a fish wife of the [character deleted] worst sort, when I take the chair where there are hecklers & want to say the most outrageous things back at them, so the sooner its all over the better as far as I'm concerned.
Eliza & William were here last week, William is now a tough little boy & into everything. It was a comic sight to see him trying to wind up Masters's

lorry, especially as he was wearing 1st Trinity trousers, [inserted] his [inserted] Papa's cut down – he's altered beyond recognition since Xmas.
Very much love & many thanks for thinking of us, I'll let you know what it was like & if we get drunk.
