to have me “all dressed up” and was sorry that you were not able to be present.
Today started well with a nice bright morning but tonight it has been a really miserable wet windy & generally dissagrable [sic] affair when one was glad to sit by the fireside.i hope that you managed to get out for a while this a.m. as I expect that you also had bad rain later in the day.
We really have had a bad November so far as weather is concerned, floods everywhere.

I do not seem to have any news today but I’m glad to say that Emily is well again and about & I’m glad that her flu had no worse result.
We are all well and everything goes along in the usual smooth & happy way which mummy so well arranges.
By the way I have’nt [sic] got the new car yet but it is promised before Xmas.
With much love to you my dear from all of us I remain ever your loving
[underlined] Father. [/underlined]
