Description

Forty-four items and two sub-collections with twenty items. The collection concerns Harold Leonard Fry (413129 Royal Air Force) who flew as a Lancaster navigator on 467 Squadron. He was killed on operation to Berlin on 1 January 1944. Collection contains correspondence including between his father, authorities and the air ministry, documents and photographs. In addition an account of the discovery, recovery and identification of his crew and their aircraft in 1997-2003.

The collection has been donated to the IBCC Digital Archive by Barbara Barton and catalogued by Nigel Huckins.
