My darling Mummy.
Thank you for your letter. We went and saw “Whoopee” and it was absolutely gorgeous, if you ever get a chance of seeing it, you must. We saw it as a talkie. It was coloured from the beggining[sic] to the end. Eddie Cantor who was the chief actor was very funny indeed. We are collecting nestles pictures. All the nestles pictures you can get please give them to Thelma and not to us, as she asked you first. We [deleted] had [/deleted] [inserted] got [/inserted] a very nice letter from Blossom, and she asked us to tell her your address, so we will. The days are simply flying. Every boy exept [sic] one got honours in theory, but he passed. Stevie got 94, and I got 88.
I am ending now with lots of love and kisses from your loving son
David
P.S. I am very glad you have done so well.
