My darling Daddy.
Thank you for your letter. I am quite allright [sic] now, the doctor syringed my ear, and I do something to my nose everyday [sic], and clean it, now I have no more ear trouble. We had the Fives competition yesterday, Clive came 1st with 13 points, Havelock 2nd with 10 points, Hastings 3.rd with 4 points, & Lawrence 4.th with 3 points. I am in the 2nd XI of my house, we played Hastings and won 12-0, I shot 8 goals, and we played Lawrence and [deleted] w [/deleted] won 4-1. My house 1st XI played Lawrence and won 5-2. There are only 13 days left to come home. The school Instructor is going away on Friday. I am ending now with lots of love and Kisses from your loving son [underlined] David. [/underlined]
