On the 1st of July 1941, Kenneth Fenton and crew of Blenheim Mk IV V6258 ditched in the North Sea, 60km North-West of Vlieland Island. High Speed Launch (HSL-108) was dispatched but was engaged by two German Arado 196 seaplanes from Schellingwoude Air-sea Rescue base. The crews of the Arados took the crew of the Blenheim and the RAF Rescue launch as prisoners.
