Title

Wir fahren nach Engelland! Oder: Der Drang nach Osten

Description

The leaflet observes that Hitler has attacked Russia on 22nd June 1941 despite a non-aggression pact. It outlines the consequences of this action in terms of civilian and military deaths. This move belies various claims from Hitler about the war in the west being over and the final victory taking place in 1941. Hitler’s best chance is to invade England successfully, however the RAF knows where Germany’s industrial areas are located.
Extracts are given from Churchill’s speech on the evening of 22nd June 1941 in response to the attack. He says that although he has opposed communism for the last 25 years, the atrocities unleashed by the Nazi regime mean his goal is to destroy the regime. Anyone who is attacked by it will receive his help, including Russia and its people. The British air offensive is just beginning and will bomb Germany with increasing strength as German fighters move to the east. The American aircraft industry is moving to full speed.
