Dear Father & Mother,
The exams are all over now and everybody is anxiously awaiting the results, I’m pretty sure Ive passed, but I’m very disatisfied [sic] with myself, the results combined with a little incident of a fortnight ago will considerably change my future movements I’m afraid, as it is I expect to return to England much sooner than I anticipated before, which is perhaps for the best, all this is just pure surmising though so will leave it until we get some real “puka gen.”
The mail situation is still rather poor, Mothers airgraphs and the papers still arrive fairly regularly but I havent [sic] heard from Barbara or anyone else for well over a month now.
I shall definetly [sic] change my address within the next fortnight will let you you have the details in the next letter I hope Every your loving son,
Alan
