My darling Daddy.
Thank you for your letter. I think I have still got my last years running kit, I will see if it is in the linen room. It was a half holiday on Friday. Our team went to Kurseong to play Victoria + [deleted] a [/deleted] Gothals, we lost against Victoria the score being 4-0, and we lost against
Gothals 3-0, so we have lost the Newton cup, if Victoria beat Gothals by 3 goals then they get the cup, because they drew with St. Josephs. There are only 64 days left to come home. The weather is clearing up a bit. Mummy sent us the [deleted] l [/deleted] Little Folks magazine, we have now got about 4 or 5. We had an exam on wednessday [sic], it was an [deleted] e [/deleted] English exam, but we have not had our marks as yet. We had pictures up here last night, they were quite good, and
[page break]
it was on a small screen, but even then it was quite good. Havelock first XI lost against Lawrence first XI, but our second beat there [sic] second. The house matches are not finished yet but so far this is how the houses go
1. [underlined] ST. [/underlined} Lawrence. 28 marks.
2. [underlined] nd. [/underlined] Havelock. 26 " My house.
3. [underlined] rd. [/underlined] Clive 10 " Stevies house.
4. [underlined] th. [/underlined] Hastings [deleted] 16 [/deleted] 8 "
My house still has a chance of winning. There are no cups for the sports this year, I suppose because the school has not enough money. I am ending now
with love from your
loving [underlined] son [/underlined] David.
P.S. Kite flying season has come out. [underlined] [/underlined]
