Dear Mrs Pickford
Please forgive me for bothering you, but I [underlined] am [/underlined] so anxious to know if you have heard from your son, again, & if he has mentioned my son the pilot of the plane? I wrote off to the Red Cross at once, when I got your [inserted] last [/inserted] letter & asked them to try & find out
[page break]
something about my dear son. I believe they are trying to do so, but I have had no further news up to date. This long anxious wait is terrible. I have changed my address, as the house I lived in was burned down, last month & I have lost everything I possessed, to add to my trouble will you please put this address till you hear from me again should you get any news. I do hope your son is getting on nicely. It is a comfort to know he is safe. Im sure – With Kind regards. Yours sincerely
