Dear Miss Hayhurst

I am very sorry to say that John was reported missing over France June 9/10 we have not receive [sic] any more news yet,

I shall be very glad to see you on Sunday. Oh by the way Ribble Busses does not run on Sundays Dad and I his [sic] very anxious for some more news I think myself he as [sic] come down in France some where and cannot write to as [sic] Once again thanking you for your letter we shall please to see
